KIOF 97.9 FM needs your support through donations to continue to serve the Las Vegas, Nevada community

It's a challenge to run a commercial-free, community supported public radio station in today's economic environment. It seems like we're always begging you for money, and that's because we have to: we rely entirely on you to help us build our radio station and keep us on the air. So please, make the effort to support KIOF 97.9 FM. We'll be there for you, but we need your financial help.

Help Fulfill Our Wish List

As an independent public broadcasting radio station in the local Las Vegas, Nevada marketplace, KIOF 97.9 FM has the following ongoing needs. To help better support our listeners in the marketplace including the numerous requests for studio access at KIOF 97.9 FM / Las Vegas Public Radio including the hundreds of thousands of listeners who also tune into our internet streams regularly to listen to KIOF, we present you our wish list to help us grow in the marketplace:
  • A new building.
  • Mountain-top access so we can provide greater coverage through-out the valley.
  • Volunteers who support our cause to keep free speech alive under the Constitution.
  • On-going underwriting by businesses who give back to their community.
  • Exhibit space at the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
  • Exhibit space at the annual Star Trek Convention.
  • On-going donations by people who are good stewards in the community.
  • Technical volunteers to work on our Linux infrastructure. Volunteers must wholeheartedly support the General Public License (GPL) software model.
  • On-going requests for airtime by political candidates during any election cycle.
